dear colleagues,
please help,
i have a linux server (linux 5.3) running oracle 10g database for application.
there are 98 users who are using that oracle application over LAN. but during the working hours the user session is increased (min 150 users) bcos one user is working on different client machines or open multiple forms on a single machine.
Has anyone tried using freenx with f12? It installs fine, but when connecting after authenticating, the client gives a connection error and the session file looks like this:
xrdb: No such file or directory
xrdb: Can't open display ':2000'
** (gnome-session:3517): WARNING **: Cannot open display:Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
I am trying to create an android app for a website with user system (website that ask user to register to use the site - eg twitter, stackoverflow, etc).
So my app will require a user to either sign up or login in order to use.
To do this, I have implement the following steps:
1) Let user sign in from the app and send to http post
2) The server will create session on its side and send the sessio
During the week I have a single VNC session I'm working with throughout the week.
After leaving my laptop for a while, my Kubuntu session closed. (I'm not sure which of the various timeout criteria caused it.) So I got a screen that said my session was locked and I needed to provide my password to unlock it.
Is there a way to create identifiable Byobu sessions so that when I've got multiple sessions running, the byobu-select-session menu gives me a list of sessions I can recognize, as opposed to non-descript tmux port numbers?
In an ideal world, it would be great to be able to both start a session giving it a name and to modify such a session to change a name if it's already running?
