Hi all,I have quite a few experience with freenx on other linux distributions, but this is my first time setting up freenx on archlinux. After following the instructions in the wiki, authentication keeps failing no matter what I do. Stuff I've done from the wiki:1. install freenx2. add RSAAuthentication yes AllowUsers someuser nx to sshd_config3. add md5sum to node.conf4.
Sorry I have to ask this. I switched, at least temporarily, to Gnome. Gnome only loads a failsafe session and the chooser itself drops to Gnome 2. When I do log into Gnome - let me see if I can describe this - I get a new top and bottom bar for every successive login and the usable screen gets respectively smaller.
Hi,
I've installed a Ubuntu 13.04 desktop, and added Gnome 3 by following:
http://www.webupd8.org/2012/10/how-t...esktop-in.html
I've also installed xrdp and now I'm trying to connect to my desktop from another box using FreeRDP.
I can login to Gnome-shell fine from the local session.
Upgrading from a OpenSUSE 12.1 installation with a working FreeNX server, I hit an issue with the FreeNX server on OpenSUSE 12.2, running Gnome 3.
Whenever I connect, I pass the dreaded connection phase (where I've hit most of my issues with FreeNX), and see the client prepare the display, and even see a bit of the display load.
i got an error at login screen "Failed to Load session "gnome""..Please help me to sort it out.& i tried to install gnome ,i m unable to do so.....(with fedora17-64 bit,kernal 3.6)
I've installed nx & freenx on a RHEL 6.3 via the 'yum install nx freenx' command. In the configuration file, node.conf, I've un-commented the following lines:
ENABLE_USERMODE_AUTHENTICATION="0"
ENABLE_PASSDB_AUTHENTICATION="0"
ENABLE_SSH_AUTHENTICATION="1"
On my mac client I have installed the NoMachine player and copied the client.id_dsa.key from the server.
I posted this question on the opensuse@opensuse.org before, but received no reply. I thought I'd try my luck here. Apologies if you've read this one before!
ok so the problem i have is when i log on there is no top bar or menu bar but when i hit alt-f2 then run any program and check "run in terminal" they both appear. except the windows don't have minimize/maximize or close buttons. so then i went to a different session to see if that made a difference i went to xfce. when i logged on so i went to see if they had the buttons and they did.
Hi,
I upgraded my test machine from F17 to F18 using fedup.
