FreeBSD 9 and Windows 7 Dual Boot

http://unix.stackexchange.com – I have two hard drives installed on my machine. I installed Windows 7 on one hard drive and FreeBSD 9 on the other. I used GPT for FreeBSD. My question is: how can I install a boot manager so that I can dual boot? (In FreeBSD 8, sysinstall asks for a boot manager but bsdinstall doesn't?) (HowTos)

I've been trying to install FreeBSD alongside my Debian installation in a single partition.

I am trying to install FreeBSD but I am having a problem. My computer is a Thinkpad T400. I followed the instructions to install so I have downloaded the file FreeBSD-8.3-RELEASE-amd64-dvd1.iso and burned the iso image to disc. When I boot with the disc it comes to the Welcome to FreeBSD screen.

I have two partitions on my hard-didk , I have installed ubuntu on my 1st partition and windows 8 later on another partition.Now i can only boot into windows 8 because it doesn't recognize Ubuntu.

How would i dual boot my PC without using grub .

Hi guys, i have at the moment a dual boot with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.04 each one in separate hard drives, when i installed Ubuntu it taked care of the dual boot system letting me choose wich OS to run when turned on.

I'm running a FreeBSD 9.0 setup as a virtual machine in a KVM setup.

The last two times I ran freebsd-update install the machine (re)booted from the GENERIC kernel instead of my custom kernel.

I have Windows Professional installed on the 1st hard drive with the NTFS file system.

I've just installed UBUNTU 11.10 on a second hard drive but didn't setup the dual boot during installation because I was confused that I might by accident, install on the wrong drive. So before the installation of UBUNTU, I dis-connected the 1st hard drive with WindowsXP from the power supply just to be safe.

I installed fedora 15 on an external hard drive attached to my Windows laptop and in doing so accidentally created a boot manager the external drive. The laptop in question has windows on it which I can access via the dual boot menu that sits on the external hard drive.
