I have an old Compaq Presario SR1265CL desktop that was given to me and I want to remove Windows XP and install Ubuntu. I have tried a few different Linux distributions and none will boot up when I try. I need some help figuring out what to do. Any help would be great.
I disable touchpads on all my laptops because I cannot stand using them and stick to using a mouse.
I just started using a different laptop which is a Compaq CQ62-210US. It doesnt have a hot key option to do so so I did the obvious thing and turned off the software and deleted the driver. I have done everything I know how to do and the touchpad is still activated.
