FreeOrion, a free, open source, turn-based space empire and galactic conquest (4X) computer game being designed and built by the FreeOrion project, has reached version 0.4.2.
According to its developers, FreeOrion is far from being a complete game and it still requires a great deal of new features.

Portas Aurora: Arrival is a turn based strategy space game that will be somewhat similar the Final Fantasy in combat.
As they use the Unity4 engine, they recently announced a GNU/Linux support.

This is a very nice game for Linux. Its Vega Strike, a space action game simulator for Linux and Windows OS. Vega Strike is a 3d OpenGL Action Space Sim for Win/Lin/Mac allowing players to trade and bounty hunt in a vast universe.
Electronic Arts games release the Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun 2.03 as a freeware. You can freely download and install this game on your computer. Released in 2000, Tiberian Sun is the second game in the “Tiberium Wars” storyline which will end with C&C4. Tiberian takes place roughly 30 years after the original C&C.
If you own a Nokia N97 series, you can try this nice and free game for your Nokia N97. Its a Wicked Racing 1.2 fro Nokia N97. Actually this game is not specific for N97, but here I only provide this racing game for N97 only.

Jordan Brock sent me an email about a game he is working on with his team called Just Tactics (they are also working on a new website ).
Just Tactics is a free (for now) turn based, online multiplayer, 1v1, tactical war game involving squads and deck building.
They Follow the “Minecraft business model” in which they give the game for free at first and as the game development progress
Ubuntu was the distribution that shot to fame not only because of its simplicity to use and install, but also because of it's Free CD project. However, Canonical has now decided to stop it's Free-for-all offering and will now offer free CDs only to those who are in need of it.
