http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I have a Sony Vaio PCG-XG19 laptop. It uses a NeoMagic 256XL+ NM2380 video adapter. This video is _supposed_ to be "accelerated". First, I have to set the desktop color depth to 8-bit in order to play non-GL games like ZDoom. Is there any way around this? I don't need to do this on my other Fedora systems. When I try to launch GL-based games like Doomsday or Darkplaces, I get messages like "SDL Error: Couldn't find any matching GLX visual" or "Couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered, depth visual" and the game doesn't start. When I execute it from within a terminal all I get is:

"etracer error: Couldn't initialize video: Couldn't find matching GLX visual (Resource temporarily unavailable)"

I have an Intel graphics adapter that runs compiz and other 3d games just fine.

I have a problem to play video in res 720p on my xperia x10 now im using DiXperia8 - Stock version, before install DX8 when i wos have android 2.3.3 videos play good (no lag) in oryginal video player and in "MX Video Player", after install DX8 standard app named "QuicPic" say that he cant open that video file.

I used to use "Stardraw Control" to design applications for tablets.

I've installed ubuntu faunty and the restricted (propietary) driver and verything works fine. I can even enable compiz-fusion and play some games like savage 2 and it works fine. My problem is that i can't get a 1600x1200 reolution for my desktop (or anywhere else I've tried).

My xorg.conf is below, I would appreciate anyone with more experience than I have to make suggestions for changes that may solve my problem. Some games/3d apps work fine, example; tremulous, trem fusion, however, supertux, extreme tux racer, tuxkart etc give me sync out of range on my monitor.
