Because of Metro PCS strict wifi tether redirect ("You need to pay to use our tether services") Its been very hard for people to get any type of internet tethering from their Metro PCS phone. I've tried a lot of things to connect my laptop to my metro pcs s4s network, but I could only find one working method.
I cannot find anyone that understands how to get an LG phone to communicate, sending data (internet) to my computer. In the past "Easy Tether" (an app) worked fine with my previous Samsung phone, but when I upgraded to an LG optimus L 90 and used "Easy Tether" the Mac said no data signal comming from the LG phone, or the cable is not connected.
I am stock ics unrooted on razr maxx hd. Foxfi used to work but now my laptop restarts every time i try to connect to foxfi. I tried to connect to foxfi bluetooth but i couldn't get to the page in which bluetooth connects to internet on my laptop.
Is there a free wifi tether app for unrooted razr maxx hd that still works?
I'm using foxfi on my verizon note2 and my unlimited plan. I just read that the fcc passed a ruling preventing vzw from blocking tethering apps. What about att? Can you use foxfi on a att note2 with or without unlimited data?
I just got the HTC One SV for boost mobile. Of course being Boost Mobile the hotspot is not preloaded. I didn't think it was a problem because I already knew about foxfi and had purchased to full version on my old phone ( Samsung Galaxy Prevail). But now, foxfi/pdanet will not work. I have updated so I have the latest update on foxfi/pdanet.
My Samsung S3 is dying and I am looking for an inexpensive replacement...
FoxFi app works well with my S3 on the unlimited data plan..
Can someone advise if FoxFi works with Moto X on Verizon or would I have to replace FoxFi to tether? If no tethering app is available with Moto X on Verizon's unlimited data, what other device options do I have?
