I am trying to use FoxFi with my Nexus 7 tablet. I have a Photon 4G that I am running it on. I just did a factory reset on my Photon and my tablet is brand new. I can connect for only a few minutes and my Nexus 7 will drop connection but FoxFi shows that it is still turned on, just does not show it is connected anymore.
FoxFi is a great app but with the free version of foxfi you get knocked off the internet by the app and told to purchase the full version or restart app.
Don't want to pay your service provider or for an app to make your android phone a wifi hotspot?
This is how you hack foxfi and avoid getting knocked off the internet.
This method was tested on a samsung galaxy prevail (android 2.3.6 gingerbre
I just got the HTC One SV for boost mobile. Of course being Boost Mobile the hotspot is not preloaded. I didn't think it was a problem because I already knew about foxfi and had purchased to full version on my old phone ( Samsung Galaxy Prevail). But now, foxfi/pdanet will not work. I have updated so I have the latest update on foxfi/pdanet.
I can't upgrade until I'm sure Foxfi will work. I'm on satellite Internet at home with a 15gb data cap and two teenagers. I still have unlimited data with Verizon and Foxfi is saving me hundreds or at least the misery of listening to them complain about how slow the Internet is. Thanks.
