Brocade (NASDAQ: BRCD) is stepping up its game in the fabric networking space with its latest switch, featuring support for 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE).
The VDX 8770 is a 1/10/40 GbE modular switch designed to extend Brocade’s Virtual Cluster Switching (VCS) technology for Ethernet fabrics and cloud-optimized networks.
We currently have Brocade 200E fiber switches, connecting 2 EMC CLARiiONs to 4 VMware ESXi hosts. We are looking into new storage options using iSCSI with our existing ethernet network, including the possibility of gradually upgrading to 10 gigabit.
I flashed my Linksys e1200v2 to dd-wrt (mega build) roughly 6 hours ago, and been having problems ever since. While I believe I have sorted out most of my problems, the problem that is left is the inability of my laptop to connect to this router via gigabit ethernet (yes, I know the e1200 is only a 10/100).
