I am researching the best and cheapest Netgear Wireless Cable Modem Router for a
family member. Than it struck me to ask here for others thoughts and experiences
and what all of you thought was good.
I am trying to get it all in one but if there is a cheap alternative that has a
separate cable modem and than a wireless router that would be just as good.
I have 2 devices connected together:
Technicolor TG670 from my ISP on 192.168.0.254 as Internet Gateway (static, no dhcp)
Netgear WDNR37 v2 with dd-wrt on it (v24sp2) on 192.168.0.1
Set Up:
Internet <-> Gateway <-> Netgear
The Gateway has 4 Lan Ports, on 2 of them i have clients connected.

1) cannot connect to Internet when I come straight off my Time Warner modem.
2) Connects when I plug into the netgear modem

I've been using a Netgear router sharing the signal through my Huawei E160 dongle, but following the speeds update and the device limit, it does not satisfy the demand.
Through research, I've found that Huawei E398 is the latest and functional dongle so far. I'm going to update, but the confusion comes: Is it compatible for my Netgear router? Will it work?
I have had an issue with F18 NetworkManager (yes I know) since installing. It does not seem to get on with my Netgear DG834v2 wired router/ADSL modem. F17 behaves perfectly well. Both installations are stock Gnome installs and I have done no configuration to the network and there is only this one machine connected to the router..

I have a Netgear router in my living room that has the wireless signal. It is connected to a Powerline plug that goes up to my bedroom. That is plugged into another router that is used as an ethernet hub. It's cables go into my PS3 and my server. The second router shows up as a hidden network on my laptop, and I can connect to it.
I have currently 3 switches
Two Netgear JFS524 with 24 slots,
One Belkin with 16 slots.
Server
DSL Internet Router.
Main question is how to connect switches together, two Netgear's are next to each other, yet one is about 100 feet away and holds about 5 computer and 5 phones.
If i connect them with only 1 wire will that limit bandwidth? e.g.
