I need help with a samba permission issue in Ubuntu 14 with Nautilus and i don't know where is the problem. After many tries i noticed the following behavior:
1) I only can share folders as root (sudo nautilus) but it does not work if i try it inside a user folder.
I am a newbie to Ubuntu. Apologies if this has been asked before: I did try to do some research, and between many websites and trying to find it on here, I haven't had much luck. I'm sorry if I have missed the answer.
Here is my intended goal: I wanted to install Ubuntu and install Samba (the particular Samba that allows sharing files between windows and ubuntu back and forth.
