I love the Internet so much. America’s netizens have demanded that President Obama consider building the legendary Star Wars Death Star and the White House has responded. Not surprising, they have thoughtfully rejected the request, claiming it would cost an estimated $850,000,000,000,000,000 and that “the Administration does not support blowing up planets”.

During the State of the Union, President Obama has announced a plan to make the American education system more focused on tech skills.

The U.S. Federal government is being taken advantage of by unscrupulous software vendors who overcharge them for software. Great Free Software operating systems such as Ubuntu and Red Hat are effectively locked out of competitive software bidding by the big money "donated" to politicians by lobbyists (in my opnion).

White House Linux Migration Petition.
The petition has 18 signatures now, and needs 25000 by the end of April.
Considering the urgency for this, I did not bother checking if somebody already posted this here. I would urge all of you to sign the petition (apparently it is NOT limited to US residents only).
