Hello, first of all I apologize for my bad english. :silly:
I have a carrier locked Xperia ZL, and my bootloader status says "Bootloader Unlock allowed: no", but I tried to get the bootloader unlock code from sony and they give it to me!! My question is, can i use that code? Does that mean I can unlock my bootloader?
I haven't been able to find a straight answer in previous threads, so I thought I might ask for clarity.

I just bought the Z2 phone which is UNBRANDED and check that the BOOTLOADER can be UNLOCKED under the configuration menu. The phone is rooted which I verified through a program. Using Android 4.4.2, Build 17.1.2.A..0.314
Tried the flashtools to unlock it
Flashtools - gives me the error that the bootloader cannot be unlocked. Tells me to unplug the phone and turn it on.
Ok, so I've upgraded to 4.3 and lost my root. As far as I know, to get root on 4.3 I will need unlocked bootloader to flash custom kernel and/or ROM. Unfortunately in the Service Info / Configuration of my phone it says: Bootloader unlock allowed: NO. So here's the question: is there any method of unlocking the bootloader other than official from Sony?
