I'm having some problems with a multi monitor setup in Ubuntu:
The launcher will appear on the laptop monitor if the external monitor isn't plugged in on startup. If the external monitor is plugged in on startup it will appear on that monitor.
I've managed to get YouTube Flash videos fullscreen by using two tips, but whenever I move the mouse pointer to a different screen (thereby changing the application focus) the fullscreen mode is canceled. Is there some way to ensure that only application focus changes on the same screen cancels the fullscreen mode?
I run awesome WM on Ubuntu
Recently when I try and watch full screen youtube videos they have been playing in a small letter box - They have not 'full screened'
Vimeo & Dailymotion videos still fullscreen correctly.
This is NOT the problem of a youtube video appearing 'behind' the browser.
Hey,
first off, I apologize for being unable to come up with a more succinct title.
I use my first monitor for everything that requires interaction.
My second monitor is basically a TV replacement and just runs video (fullscreen flash video, media player, whatever).
If I want to utilize the virtual desktop functionality, however, both monitors switch to Virtual Desktop #2 in one swoop.
Like I said in the title: flash will not go fullscreen.
Whenever I want to view a (Youtube, predominantly)video (of any resolution), it will only display it as an (1240px? x) 720px wide video.
It doesn't have this problem (also not with Youtube) on Windows, so it is an Linux issue.
What can I do about it?
My system has an atom N270 + intel i915 graphic card.
Under Windows I can enjoy 720p bigbuckbunny youtube video fullscreen without any trouble.
Under Ubuntu 12.04 I have laggy and choppy fullscreen video and choppy video when not fullscreen.
I've seen that under ubuntu the cpu is almost always at 100% use.
What I must do in order to have videos playing well under ubuntu ?
I've already tried t
Hey guys, so this has been going on for a long time but I am actually determined to fix it now...Basically, ever since upgrading to 12.04 LTS, watching fullscreen youtube videos (often in 720p or 1080p) will eventually crash Firefox/Flash and the workspace will just be frozen...
Audio will still work, but I basically have to switch workspaces, kill the firefox and plugin process, and then relaunc
So for awhile now when I try to play youtube videos in full screen, it's choppy and lagged. Impossible to watch.
I have read around, and none of the solutions fix my problem, most are windows based. The one where you go into the plugins settings and disable one of the flash, well I only have one flash available.
Can't find anymore information.
Hi guys,
