Hey all,
Sorry to be a pain yet again, but I'm really keen to learn more about Linux and get my system up and running perfectly.
Video playback on streaming video on the web browser is very choppy. I don't think it's supposed to be this bad.My video card is an ATI RADEON 9200SE-64TV.
I have a fresh install of 12.04 (64 bit) on an ASUS M2A-VM motherboard (Integrated ATI Radeon X1250-based graphics) going into my LG 52" plasma TV via DVI/HDMI. I'm getting choppy feedback of video. What should I do?
Hi
In fedora 18 I can play a flash video fine. But, if I suspend my laptop and after resume play the same flash video it's choppy. The only way to fix this seems to be with a reboot. Killing firefox, gdm or X doesn't fix this.
Hi,
I am having problems playing Matroska (mkv) files in any media player (e.g. VLC) using Ubuntu 10.04.
The playback is horribly choppy and the screen fragments a lot (see attachment). Audio is fine.
This only happens with .mkv files.
I find that flash videos are extremely choppy (in firefox) or are really sped up as if on fast forward (on chrome) when my Ubuntu 11.10 has been ON for more than a day or so.
On FireFox or Chromium any website. I have choppy streaming. I had upgraded to 12.04 and it went away but I have a rt2800 driver that cuts out 'packets' so I went back to 11.10. The 11.10 had always been choppy streaming, but I notice I may not have to put up with choppy streaming. I can run a DVD of my PC DVD Drive just fine 720P with no choppyness.
