I installed Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit in my Dell N5110 and i had a major problem my screen flashes all the time especially
when i open mozilla and other applications ,i get a message "Gpu Hang",what can i do about that?

Firstly I have problem with my sound on my computer. When I listen to music sometimes sound lagging for two or three seconds and for the rest of song it plays OK.
Secondly I can't watch youtube or Vimeo videos because it plays very fast.

Well, I installed Arch (x86_64) recently and followed the beginner's guide which suggested that i install 'xf86-video-ati' for my ATI video card. I have a Radeon HD 4350 video card. After installing flash, I went to youtube and the videos take longer to load than on my prior ubuntu system, and sometimes the it will freeze while the audio keeps going.
I just installed 9.10 and was looking at some of the RSS Feeds. Many people say that they update their video card drivers right after install. How is this done?

My system is an HP Pavilion P6610f PC with an AMD Athlon II 635 Quad core. I have 4 GB DDR3 RAM. Graphics is ATI Radeon HD 4200.
At first I installed Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit about a month ago. Everything seemed a bit slow so I thought I had a RAM problem for I had read about RAM problems.
I did a clean install of 12.04 32 bit and things seemed a bit better but not much.
I have recently reinstalled Ubuntu 12.04 and replaced hard drives and video cards (both nvidia) but changed drivers as I went from a 7600gt with the 173 driver to GT 640 with 310 driver.
