Hello,
I work in Linux Fedora 17.
Together with Google-Chrome the libpepflashplayer.so plugin is automatically installed.
In chrome://plugins/ I can see 2 plugins, but not libpepflashplayer.so
Code:
Adobe Flash Player (2 files) - Versie: 11.0 r1 Kritieke beveiligingsupdate downloaden
(translated: download critical security-update)
Shockwave Flash 11.0 r1
Naam: &n
I have an ATI 9200SE and as I have reported before the most recent versions of flash from 11.2 onwards have not worked at all for me.
I just installed Google Chrome, on Linux Mint 14 64-bit, and the Flash plugin's sound doesn't work.
Very recently, my kernel was upgarded from 3.2.0-25-generic to 3.2.0-26-generic through Update Manager. Since then, my google chrome cannot be opened up as usual from Dash Home or command line (google-chrome) although I can see it sleeping in the System Monitor. Now I have to run Google Chrome using command
google-chrome --disable-bundled-ppapi-flash
but have to sacrifice Flash function.
download flashplugin then go to address bar and type chrome://plugins and disable the flash that google-chrome comes with (pepperflash)
Problem:I installed google-chrome but somehow it would not set itself as the default browser (example: clicking a link in terminator opened firefox/iceweasel).After a long search here on the forums I found the solution(s) to my problem:I hope this works for others to..Howto:Find out where chrome is installed (in my case it is /usr/bin/google-chrome) but firefox seems to be in /opt/firefox/firefoxC
I have tried to make google chrome run with root user using this tutorial but now simply google chrome won't start
If i try from terminal with google-chrome i get
root@ubuntu:~# google-chrome
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
if i try to uninstall from the software center, it simply hangs when i click on installed softare, i tried apt-get purge but with no success, what do you suggest?
I know this has been said many times but having tried everything, I'm going to start this thread anyways.
I followed the guide at the following url: Cannot Install Google Chrome. How do I fix it?
Despite that I still have an error:
alex@ubuntu:~/Downloads$ sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb
Selecting previously unselected package google-chrome-stable.
