These forums are really useful and am looking forward to get help from this forum for my new android mobile spice stellar mi-425. Right Now am carfully going through the methods for rooting my phone.
I would like to ask my Android Forum friends about the major differences being rooted or not rooted. Is rooting necessary at all? If yes, then what are all we can do with a rooted phone.
I've tried the sticky at the beginning of this forum as well as a plethora of other methods. Lost count of how many times I had to restore my phone to factory defaults.
I think where I went wrong was after buying the phone in April or May, I accepted one of AT&T's software updates.
Can anyome please help me with this?

I own a Samsung galaxy ace plus (GT-S7500L) and I have this phone for 2 weeks now. I really like it but I like to put a lot of apps into it and lately it's not working like the first day obviously. This is the first time I have an android phone and I read about Rooting and stuff.
The LG Esteem is now considered crap. Its the least proficient phone on the market now. Its becoming old, and slow and doesn't keep up with todays needs. Can I Improve the Esteem in any way fro heavy or at least texting everyday use? LG Needs to come out with the LG Esteem 2 or LG Esteem Optimus. idk This phone is just driving me crazy.
