Importing iptables Configurations Into Firewall Builder
Firewall Builder is a firewall configuration and management GUI
that supports configuring a wide range of firewalls from a
single application. Supported firewalls include Linux iptables,
BSD pf, Cisco ASA/PIX, Cisco router access lists and many
more.
I was reading up about firewalls and came across two concepts which confused me- Web Application Firewall and "regular" firewall. I'm not fully sure what the differences are- they both sound like they accomplish the same thing. Does anyone know the difference?
Thanks!

On my LAMP servers, do either of the firewall interfaces (ufw or apt) allow you to setup rate limiting to automatically ban brute force attempts (e.g. via SSH)? Or, is it best to install fail2ban in conjunction with strict firewall rules?

v4.0 comes with support for high availability configurations for firewalls on Linux, BSD and Cisco PIX. It can generate configuration scripts to manage ip addresses of interfaces, vlans, bridges and bonding interfaces. This is a major upgrade that also adds many improvements in the GUI.
The recent attention bestowed on next generation firewalls may lead some VARs to question how they can take advantage of this powerful tool.
I'm running F18, but don't know much about firewalls. I was wondering if someone could direct me to a VERY basic and/or extremely thorough tutorial about firewalls in Fedora.
