Firefox + Xorg + FC11

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi all, I have come up against a problem that seems to make Firefox in F11 nigh-on unusable. As soon as I open any page that is of moderate size and or has plenty of pictures (take a forum like this with a thread that has a full page of responses to a question), the CPU usage of Xorg and firefox processes go through the roof. At that point, the computer becomes sluggish but not totally unresponsive (I think primarily because firefox/Xorg are only battering 1 of the 2 cores). Firefox itself becomes almost unusable. When trying to move up/down the page, the scroll wheel gets no response and page up or down can take anything up to 20 seconds to move the page. If is Firefox 3.5-1.fc11. I did hear something a couple of weeks ago about setting up some options in Xorg.conf or similar but I cannot find this page at the moment. I also wonder how adding the conf file will affect usability in other areas (I am running on a laptop and switch screen configurations daily depending on where I am working). Does anyone have any ideas? Cheers. (HowTos)
