Yes, they really work with other. Remap esc key to App key, up to right shift, down to right ctrl, p to right alt. Just app key work in firefox (as esc). I tried:xmodmap -e "keycode 108 = p"I see it didn't work with firefox only.

You can use an external editor ( like Kate or LibreOffice ) using the "it's all text" addon.firefox addonI recommend the luakit browser, it has this function as standard.

I checked out the profile thing (" firefox -P ") - that works. Then I checked syncing only favorites and chronic via the firefox sync service (yup, it's all encrypted!) - works like a charm. Sso now I have to setup the desktop environments and edit the .desktop files ... Aall this might take a some time, but I post here when I'm done ...
