i have ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 512 MB run with the open source driver , and i'm using firefox and chrome in firefox webgl working and http://get.webgl.org/ says that it support it .
but with chrome it's different the website say that chorme doesn't support webgl - i enabled it form flags - and when i open chrome://gpu-internals its said : WebGL: Unavailable. Hardware acceleration disabled.
I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 (through Virtualbox in a Windows 8.1 host) and finally managed to install the correct drivers for my nVidia card (using bumblebee) and glxinfo finally shows that I support OpenGL 4.20. So, lastly, for the project I'm working on, I need to get WebGL running in either Chrome or Firefox (I'd rather use in Chrome) to test the program I'm developing.
Google today launched the latest beta of Chrome for desktop and Android. This release marks the first time Chrome for Android supports WebGL by default. Previous versions of the beta for Android already made WebGL the standard for rendering interactive 3D and 2D graphics in the browser, available behind a flag.
