http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi, i have a Firebird installed in a old machine with Centos 6, and now i install a new machine with Fedora 17 x64, with Firebird 2.5.2 amd64, but when i try to connect to BD ( isql -u sysdba -p masterkey bd.ib ) i recive this error: Statement failed, SQLSTATE = 08001 I/O error during "open" operation for file "bd.ib". Someone know how to solve this problem ? In my old machine its work fine. (HowTos)

Hello Am rather new to linux, and know about the apt-get install <package> command only to install in linux. However, when using this command to try install firebird 2.5 on my Lucid, it is not finding the package, and eventually I downloaded the tar file from firebird site, but after extracting I do not know how to proceed. Anyone can help me with this?

I've built two ubuntu systems in vm. Set the IP as 192.168.0.1 for machine A and 192.168.0.2 for machine B. Both machines can connect to Internet.

If I try to ping 192.168.0.2 on machine A, it works， and vice versa. If I try command "telnet 192.168.0.2 21", it works too. But when I try command "telnet 192.168.0.2 80" on machine A, it doesn't work.

Cannot connect via XRDP 3 weeks 5 days ago

I installed XRDP on my F18 install. I disabled the firewall just to make sure nothing would be in the way for sure. When I try to connect from another machine, I keep getting an "unable to connect" error. I can ping the machine from within the network so I know the communication channels are open.

I am trying to put a file from one linux machine to my other linux machine. There is absolutely no problem in downloading the file i.e. performing the "get" operation but when i try to upload or "put file" from my host1 to host2 it throws error "Error 0 Permission denied".
