so far I could find only the first ever Linux source code which is for AT&T 386
( the assembly for the boot seems to be unfamiliar, and some googling suggests that)
I looked a bit in kernel.org and could find it..
it seems that IBM PC has 8088, I need the 8086 architecture
In university i have task - to find source code of linux utility 'df', and write some

Hello everyone. I am planning on installing slackware distribution in a very near future. I was wondering what is a source code download. On their website I was trying to figure out what to download to get started. There are a few options and a couple of them say 'source code'. Some offer a full download without a source code. So what exactly is it?
