I have a website running on a Linux Debian Squeeze server with Apache 2. The website is the only one on the server and the traffic to the website is very low (800-1000 connection per day).
The problem is that when I run the website on Chrome the "Wait" time is very long (1 min, 2 min) before the page is loaded.
I have a local Web Server (running CentOS 5.5) that hosts an intranet for my company. The server itself runs fine, and the web pages are servered, but it is very, very slow.
My company bought a Dell PowerEdge t710 server with:
48 GB ram 4x4
GB ethernet ports.
RAID 5 for PERC H700
4 x 1TB, SATA, 3.5-in, 7.2K RPM Hard Drive (Hot Plug)
My job is to configure Hyper-V system infrastructure on this server.
Hi guys
I tired to search around for some simple instructions, but no luck. So please help me.
I ma noob with servers. Don't know much about ti at all. I have VPS server with cPanel on it. Server is 8GB/Ultimate at GoDaddy. Now lately my website traffic is growing and running server into heavy load. usually is 3.00 or 4.00, but run into 40 the other day.
Well i guess i can't make this question cuz' is like a discussion but i don't know what to do... i want to know what is better for a large traffic website... an example.
I have been working on a big project which requires a good server architecture during its implementation since there would be heavy traffic to the servers.
I am a newbie when it comes to server architecture and i just made a layout of how the project's server architecture could look like

We have a situation where bots comprise 40% of page requests for a slow-performing web application.
Short Term Relief
As immediate relief, I thought of doing the following:
Setting up another instance of the application pointing to a slave copy of the database.
I recently started my own company as a freelance .NET developer. Being a developer, network infrastructure and topology isn't my strong suit.
The hardware infrastructure I have available is drawn in the schema below.
Hi,
I am configuring the Ubuntu cloud infrastructure 12.04 LTS.
I sucessfully configured the MASS server with extra virtual ip.
Mass Server : eth0 => 192.168.10.171
eth0:0 => 192.168.10.172
Now, i install JUJU in the same server and configure the two nodes using Mac address.
