file system error , unable to boot boot

http://askubuntu.com – i had deleted a partition using windows 7 in my dual boot system then when i restarted my pc file system error was shown on screen with grub rescue after some reading from internet i typed in following command at grub rescue ls ls (hd0,msdos5)/ set root= (hd0,msdos5) ls / set prefix=(hd0,msdos5)/boot/grub insmod /boot/grub/linux/mod normal my linux files are in msdos5 as seen using ls command but the command set root= (hd0,msdos5) the ls / command showed that no device is set following which the insmod /boot/grub/linux.mod command also showed the same error message. please help me (HowTos)
