Running Ubuntu 10.10 on Acer Netbook ZX5. Eventually realized that drag and drop file manipulation doesn't work on 10.10.
Considered upgrading to 12.04, but reluctant because of brightness control problem with 12.04.
As the title suggests I was wondering how, if possible, to change to behaviour of the drag and drop in nautilus? I'm dual booting Ubuntu 11.10 and Windows Vista, and I have most of my files stored on the Windows partition (for easy of access between OS's).
In my app I have a screen with grid view, where I displayed photos, in 2 columns.
I want to add possibility to reorder photos by drag end drop.
I have android 4.0, and I used android native drag and drop:
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/drag-drop.html
So, I already add drag&drop functionality, but the problem is, that I need to scroll grid view when user trying to drag top image
Hi Guys,
On the home screen of my admire i long press and it gives me the option of:
Shortcuts
Widgets
Folders <----- is there an App like this for my LG motion?
Wallpaper
The Folder is so simple and allows Drag & Drop.
Every app I look at in the PlayStore is way to bulky or doesnt suport Drag & Drop
Just asking if someone out there has seen the same quirk:
If I want to drag a file to a dropzone in a website (say gmail's compose interface) Unity brings up the window picker bar (Launcher) and I can't drop the file in the webpage.
It's like nothing happens.
I haven't seen if it happens in Firefox too, just tried it with Chrome.
I'm trying to drag and drop images from my web browser to a folder. In both Fedora and Ubuntu, dragging without holding a modifier key creates a link to the image. In Ubuntu I can drag the image by holding CTRL or Shift while dragging.
I always disable Drag and Drop, I so often accidentally copy folders, ad need to do the same in Ubuntu. Any help gratefully apreciated!
The title says it all ‒ I can't simply drag'n'drop to move files between directories in the file manager. (come to that, I can't even use a right-click to copy: have to go up to the menu bar) Are these lubuntu features, or is there something a bit wrong with my installation?
When I drag and drop a file on the desktop into a folder, it does not move the file. Instead, it copies the file. Where do I change that behavior so that I do not have to hold the SHIFT button in order to clear up the desktop?
