Dear Friends,
I am running Fedora 16 32+ bit distro on my pc. I just downloaded the package called liveusb-creator using yum command as root and was trying to see if I could use my 4 GB USB stick (pen drive) to install Fedora on other pcs of mine just as I normally do with DVD/CD. For this purpose I needed to download iso image of Fedora.
Hello,
I am using the latest image of the fedora 18 live distribution Fedora-18-i686-Live-Desktop.iso.
After seeing some posts I burnt this image to a usb drive with the following commands.
I initially gave a wrong command I think because it did not boot up
dd if=Fedora-18-i686-Live-Desktop.iso of=/dev/sdb1 ( I used sdb1 by mistake).
However I rectified by this command but unfortunate

Dear All,
I customized Fedora with extra packages, now I want to change installation background image not Desktop background image & grub image.
How to change installation background images?
At present I have a dual boot system with Windows 7 and Fedora 14. I want to re-install windows 7 but most probably it will replace Fedora's boot loader. I have a lot of things set up on Fedora. I want to keep these things intact.
Fedora 13 Beta has just been released for testing and bug reporting, with the stable version slated for release in May. hi,
I am trying to install fedora core 13 (live) on a dell vostro 3500 laptop with the intell i5 processor. The boot process starts and then simply gets stuck after a while. Initially i thought that there might be some problem with either the image or the disk, and have ended up trying 4 different images (32 bit, 64 bit, kde version, gnome version) all with the same result.
Hello friends,
I have bought a HP-g6-2230sa laptop, which comes with win8.
I have managed to install fedora18 in it.
But the problem is I cannot make it to boot f18 by default. The usual process to boot to fedora is: start the machine-> be very fast to press F9-> select Fedora (or else it will go to os boot manager and will boot win8).
I have a new laptop (Samsung) and installed Fedora 64 bit on it a little while back. I am dual booting Windows and Fedora. In the meantime I have had two more boot options show up in Grub. They were not there at the beginning.
