Switching keyboard layout works and here the indicator of switching keyboard layout RU/EN or respectively flags something is not switched. When I do pass into Gnome3 there everything normally.
I've just installed cinnamon and looks great. Except I can't see where to set the keyboard layout. There doesn't seem to be a keyboard layout icon on the panel and if I go into cinnamon settings->keyboard all I get are a couple of tabs saying Typing and Keyboard Shortcuts but no keyboard layout? And ideas please?
My laptop has an Italian keyboard layout, but after moving to the US I'm using it with a US keyboard attached via USB when at work.
When on the go I'm on the IT keyboard and constantly switching layout for every open program with left-alt+right-shift is becoming a real pain.
Anyone knows of a tool that automatically changes the keyboard layout based on the physical keyboard being used?
I seem to be running into an issue when I suspend my laptop. upon suspend my keyboard layout seems to think the right side of my keyboard is like a 10 key. I have had to disable screen lock on resume because I am unable to type my username or password, even switching to a virtual terminal the messed up keyboard layout persists.
In Cinnamon 1.9 it was possible to tweak your keyboard layout (for example disable Caps Lock key).I believe it was in Cinnamon Preferences > Regional Settings > Input Source, where you had to select your Keyboard layout and click on the little "Srewdriver/Wrench symbol" button. Now in Cinnamon 2.0.2-1 this button is permanently greyed out. What do I have to do to get access to these
