Fedora 18 Live fails to load

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I believe this is a hardware related issue. I have NVIDIA GTX 580 graphics card. The nouveau driver gives multiple error messages while trying to launch the login screen, which then corrupts and locks. tty2 is accessible and functional. Any input will be greatly appreciated. (HowTos)

I am running Mint 12 x64 on a new ZaReason Verix laptop and get a black screen when I try to boot a live dvd. I like to check out other distros and know my discs are good so it has to be something else.

I was using the nouveau driver with my graphics card on Fedora 17. But the system often freezes so I just installed the nVidia driver.

I have an NVidia GeForce 5200 FX series graphics card. By default, the nouveau driver gets loaded, and with that I only get minimal resolution. In previous versions (F14 and earlier) there was an "nv" driver that worked.

I'm new to Ubuntu but I just took a course in Unix so I know a little bit about command line.

I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 and there is a screen flicker that occurs on various sections of the screen at random times roughly spaced a couple minutes apart. I think it could be an issue with the graphics driver.

I was running Fedora 13 on my old computer with a nvidia Geforce FX 5200 graphics card using the nvidia-173xx driver from fusion. After upgrading to Fedora 14 (the first day of its release) the X server wasn't working anymore, the screen just froze up after the progress bar.

Finished installing Ubuntu 10.10 in my XPS15, intel i5 4g ram, nvidia GT 420M graphics card,

problem is when i go to additional drivers, the driver listed (Nvidia accelerated graphics) when I install it and reboot it the computer starts on the terminal, no graphic interface.

I have been trying to set up an old machine which has a NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX NV18 graphics card. Unfortunately I didn't find any working graphics driver. Using the open source nouveau driver resulted in heavy flickering, general distortion, and a black bar on top of the screen.
