Restored my backed-up evolution when I installed F17-64 fro scratch. All seemed well until I tried to send an email, then get message that the smpt server does not support a plain password, and now evolution does not show any emails, contacts, etc.
I hope I have not lost any emails
I will go back to 16 for now :( Liked 17 otherwise.
I just upgraded to Fedora 17, maintaining my home directory and all its . files.
Evolution is now responding differently. I also have evolution running under Fedora 15 on another machine.
I zwitched on Desktop from mutt to Evolution to some extent. Now I cannot find my sent emails so where are the sent -emails when they are sent with Evolution -email-program?
I love Ubuntu and Evolution so I installed Evolution on Ubuntu 12.04 when I upgraded recently.
I restored my mail from a backup and on starting Evolution for the first time, received a message about converting my emails and once successful, deleting the mbox versions via Edit -> Preferences -> Mail accounts.
This all worked as expected until I did my first backup and realised that the
I've now had a repeated experience of my emails disappearing - not deleted, just disappearing - since I converted from POP to IMAP. How do I stop this perverse behaviour?
On (bad) advice I converted my Evolution email client account from POP to IMAP. ALL email, in every folder, in client and host server just disappeared. I had no opportunity to even take a back-up in Evolution.
I get this error when trying to send emails. It receives emails just fine, the reported error was:
RCPT TO "RECEIVER" failed: "SENDER": Sender address rejected: not logged in".
Where "RECEIVER" is the mail address I'm trying to send and "SENDER" is my email address.
Please do not tell me i should just use thunderbird.
This sync -bug may be related to this lag -bug here. Basically Inbox shows +1 email but cannot find it, I have deselected I think all options such as search not to filter out emails. You can see my progress with the questions below.
Code:

I just upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10.
I'm noticing that evolution can no longer decode winmail.dat files sent from windows boxes.
evolution-plugins-experimental is still installed but that is all I know.
Does anyone know how to fix this.
Thanks
