Fedora 17 should find a NETGEAR N600 Wireless USB Adapter, WNDA3100, during startup en later. The dongle show no activity. Consequently no connection.
The drivers are in /lib/firmware, ar9170-1 and ar9170-2.
Using Fedora 17 on a asus laptop, I get a disconnect in my wireless connection.
Whats more disturbing is that I cannot select my network's ssid to connect to again !
I tried to install a recent kernal update that got hung up and wouldn't finish so I aborted the update. After that I could no longer use $sudo modprobe b43 to initiate my wireless connection. My strategy is to establish a wired connection, make sure all updates could be installed, and then try to establish the wireless connection again. However, I cannot establish a wired connection.
Hi - am having wireless connection probs.
Have the trawled this site and others for help but can't figure it out.
Probably doing something stupid...
I have a wireless router running wpa2 which is being used fine by a variety of devices.
I have tried 2 machines now running ubuntu 12 (and tried another simmilar distro) and I can't connect.
Wired connection is fine.
It detects the wireless
I was screwing around in the bios and somehow changed something which I don't remember but it was more than enough to kill my wireless wifi connection to my computer.
My TP-Link wireless card worked until I changed something in the bios.
I'm trying to connect to wireless connection with networkmanager. The networkmanager reports that the wireless is connected. Ipconfig reports after the connection that the correct IP and gateway are set. But i can't access the network.
I have an Acer Aspire 3690 laptop who's ethernet adapter is not working due to IRQ conflict with the mouse (that's what is reported during startup....press F1 to continue or F2 to setup). I tried to change settings in setup but there is not much other than boot menu that can be changed and could solve the problem.
I've installed Ubuntu 12.04 but the wireless driver is not working.
I have an question, i have configured as root mine wireless connection and the connection works out the box. When i reboot mine pc or i turn off mine pc the configured wireless connection is gone and i must make an new one.
