I just installed F12 the other day and I've run into my first problem (this is not a knock, in fact this is probably the best release of Fedora 12 ever for me). Installing Skype from their website. I realise that I'm attempting to install an 1586 binary in x86-64 so it's risky, but that's not the point (yet anyway). I can't even get it to install.

I am Extremely NEW in Fedora as well in Linux. At beginning i had problem with installing Fedora 16 from DVD. Well it have been solved using nogpt perameter . In speed i forgot to Customize Packages and now i realized how big mistake i did.
I downloaded skype for Fedora 10+ from the official skype website and tried to install it on my fedora 11 machine by running the following command

I just installed Fedora 10 Xfce Spin nad I wanted to install some programs, so I downloaded some rpms specifically targeted on Fedora, both from the Fedora repository and the official website of the sofware, just to make shore at least one works.The programs I wnted to install where CodeBlocks IDE, Koffice and Equinox 3D.
