I have 500GB on Lenovo T510, right now I have allocated 400GB to Windows 7 and 100GB to Fedora, as I have too much files under fedora, I feel I need more HD space under fedora. How can I allocate another 50GB from NTFS to fedora disk.
And I dont want to touch functionality of either system.
Detailed instructions appreciated.
I Have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit on my 1TB HDisk.
Hello,
I am new to Linux.
I was trying to install Fedora 15 on my existing Windows 7 PC. I still have over 50GB unallocated disk space, but the installation keep saying I don't have enough free space. The only option that works is the first one "Use All Space". The rest couldn't find any free disk space.
Any idea/help will be greatly appreciated.
I am new to Linux and fairly new to computers. My laptop is an ASUS N56V and has UEFI BIOS (I did not know this ahead of time). I downloaded fedora 17 to a live CD and set my BIOS to run the disk drive first. Went and installed fedora 17 as dual boot so I could still use windows by shrinking the windows partition and then using the free space for fedora.
After upgrading my Samsung S2 to Jellybean, I have, in my notifications, a "Storage space" warning that some system functions may not work properly.
Also, when I try to install any app, I get the error: "Out of space. Free up some space and try again", which gives me a link to Manage Applications.
My USB stick space seems to be consumed by something. It's got a FAT32 partition and some mobile programs for windows 7 which amount to about 4 gigs. The total size of the stick is 64GB (Sandisk Cruzer).
So I have windows 7 installed as my main OS, I wanted to mess around with fedora so I got the ISO installed it to cd everything went fine. In windows before install i partitioned 100gb of free space, when installing fedora I chose use free space, it did but now I cant seem to figure out how to get it to boot, it always just goes straight to windows. any tips?
It's been a while since my last post on FedoraForum since I've been so busy with school, but now I'm back and want to install Fedora again!.....but I'm having some issues.
So, currently, I have a laptop (that does NOT have an optical drive) with Windows 7 installed on it, so I need to install via USB.
I've created about 100gb of unpartitioned space on my disk and plan on installing F17 so
Title says most of my problem. I was recently running into warnings saying I was low on disk space. After running the disk usage analyzer I removed some old backups and cleared out some extra space. However it is reporting that my 488GB hard drive is using 344GB but the detailed report only lists the '/' directory as having 10GB used. So my question is where is the other 350+GB being used?
