Fedora 13 will not connect to Internet - modem is visible with Dns shown

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hi, I have just installed Fedora 13, everything seems to work but the Internet connection. 3 devices are shown in the "Network Configuration" window (devices tab)(under "Network Device Control")"Network Cards" (wired) (wireless) and even the Motorola Modem from the ISP as well as all of the primary and secondary "DNS's", but will not connect! I have Broadcom devices on a Dell Latitude D600 Laptop. On the upper right of the desktop, the connection icon shows when I plug and unplug the cat5e, so it sees something there, but will not connect. Does anyone ha (HowTos)

Hello I am very very new to Linux so appreciate your replies in basic steps plaese. Installed suse 11.2(32 bits),KDE desktop. I Can't now figure out how to setup INTERNET. My internet connection is cable(part of ISP lan) without any modem/router etc. and it works fine on a win xp machine (using DHCP ip allocation).

I'm currently using a PPPoe connection over Ethernet to connect to the Internet. I have configured it using the "pppoeconf" command. The process is quite straight fordward and I got Internet access easily (I set default options). It seemed to be working fine until I rebooted and got the "Waiting for network configuration" screen.

Hey everyone,First time #! post, man I love this distro. It makes my little EEE PC just fly. Yeah! :DI'm working on getting my lovely #! to connect to the Internet using my iPhone 3GS as a USB tethered 3G modem. I've tried everything else mentioned in the forum on the topic with no luck.

In ubuntu 12.04, network configuration is attempted at the boot time and I often get notes like: "Waiting for network configuration" and later "Booting system without full network configuration". I want to stop this behaviour and would like to reach the log-in screen fast without any attempt to complete network configuration.

My Lenovo G580 series comes with Atheros Network driver which has some problem with wired network in ubuntu based backtrack 5 r3x64.The WICD Network manager detect the wired network connection but cannot connect to it.After shown the message "Putting interface up" nothing happen only a message "not connected".

Since having to wipe my disk and re-install 11.10 i cannot connect via ethernet. Other devices can connect via ethernet to my router with no issues but the port will no longer recognise any connections. Ive even used ppoeconf to try to connect directly to my DSL modem but it cant detect the connection.
