Fedora 12 freezes

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hello! I've installed Fedora 12 on my old box (motherboard Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3). Everything worked perfect. Then I've upgraded my box with new motherboard - Gigabyte GA-EP43T-UD3L. After this upgrade my box started freezing after some time (any input doesn't work, network services do not respond) only system reset helps until the next freeze. I don't have problems in windows xp - 3 days of uptime and everything is ok. How I can fix that in Fedora 12? Is there any way to make it work? Is there a way to see why it freezes? (HowTos)

I've recently installed Fedora 12, and it constantly freezes. The only common aspect between the freezes is that the freezes occurred when firefox was running. When it does freeze, I'm not able to use ctrl+alt+f[1...6] or even ctrl+alt+backspace. Has anyone else encountered and/or resolved this?

I've been a windows user for long time and ditched it for fedora about 15 months ago...

fedora 15 has been pretty smooth, fast and safe for me...i love it totally! when fedora 16 was released, i couldn't manage to get time and upgrade my system and then i decided to upgrade when fedora 17 is released...ending the support for fedora 15.

My motherboard is Gigabyte z77-ud5h which uses Realtek ALC898 codec.

Hdmi (intel hd graphics 4000) and spdif (mobo atapi) is causing me problems on Fedora 17. I can't get sound through them.

I live near a MicroCenter but just saw that NewEgg has motherboard specials with 8GB free RAM included so I'm leaning that way.

Dear Guys, I upgraded some old systems before from fedora 4 and fedora 6 to fedora 9 and 10 using the cds, When I booted the cds of fedora 9 and 10 it detected the old installed fedora and offered to upgrade it, It sounds nice, I chose to upgrade and every thing went fine, The old fedora 4 and 6 became 9 and 10.
