Just did a daily upgrade, via Synaptic, and noticed LXDE was in the mix.
I quit using LDXE/Openbox a couple of months ago, because 'lxsession' was using 100% CPU, sitting idle at the desktop.
If I wished to use LXDE/Openbox, I had to login, disable 'lxsession', then re-enable it later, so I could logout/restart/shutdown et cetera.
Anyway, after today's LXDE upgrade, everything is back to
Hello again,As some of you are probably aware, I deleted a bunch of old LXDE config files from my system yesterday. They were: .config/: lxpanel/, lxsession/, and lxterminal/. In .config/openbox/: lxde-rc.xml. This solved various formatting issues, but strangely enough I'm now having a new problem: Whenever I log in, my screen settings are reset to their defaults and my wallpaper is gone.
I have a .desktop file in .local/share/applications for opening text files in vim (console version). This works perfectly in gnome, unity. In Lxde it fails. I tried using lxterminal in place of gnome-terminal.

Running lxsession-logout opens the options to logout, shut down and so on.
In /home/username/.config/lxsession there are 2 directo
So I'm currently running Fedora 17 with LXDE + Openbox, and have recently installed a new icon theme which seems to be working properly. I have a .desktop file in .local/share/applications for opening text files in vim (console version). This works perfectly in gnome, unity. In Lxde it fails. I tried using lxterminal in place of gnome-terminal. It opens copy of the file and not the file itself (when saving, it asks if I want to replace the original file).
What is wrong?
I have two logins on my box, one for work and the other for personal (I'm on crunchbang).
