Fedora 11 installation problems

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I have been using Fedora 10 for some time now with dual boot on my laptop and desktop. I have updated from Fedora 10 to 11 on my desktop over web. After the upgrade is successfully completed, the system does not boot, only a cursor appears. I tried to rescue it with my Fedora 10 CDs. The Linux system is not recognized. However, not sure what happened after that rescue attempt, it started working fine with Fedora 11 now. I didn't change anything during the rescue attempt as it didn't recognize the current Linux (may be because it moved to 11), just aborted it. With that experience, I downloaded the complete DVD and attempted the upgrade on my laptop Dell D420 from 10 to 11 using USB DVD drive. Upgrade was successful. I have chosen update boot loader option and not the skip option. After that, reboot fails with Kernel panicking. The message is something like - Kernel panic - not syncing: ... : Unable to mount root fs on unknown... I even tried Fedora 11 complete installation from DVD. Same problem of Kernel panic. Any solution? After that I tried to rescue with Fedora 10 CDs again. It didn't recognize the existing version and reinstalled it completely. It boots fine. Any solution for the Kernel panic problem of Fedora 11? (HowTos)
