FCC orders Verizon Wireless to pay a fine of $1.25 million and can no longer block tethering apps

http://www.talkandroid.com – Back when Verizon bid on the 700MHz C Block spectrum, it was understood that there were open device and application obligations. According to the FCC this means any licensees providing service on the C Block Spectrum “shall not deny, limit, or restrict the ability of their customers to use the devices and applications of their choice on the licensee’s C Block network.” This C Block spectrum is what Verizon uses for its LTE network.
