fc12 still has and still picking up fc11 packages

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – :rolleyes: What to do? After preupgrade and update fc11->fc12, system has a mixture (oh yeah) of fc11 packages and fc12 new ones. Dependencies problems, and even by removing, reinstalling packages sometimes it's picking up fc11 ones. I tried yum clean etc to no avail. Is there any script or anything to solve this automatically? I suppose the solution is to manually erase all the fc11 packages (assuming they are really installed and not simply reported as such)? Some have deep dependencies though. :( (HowTos)

How do I go about removing the old f11 rpm stuff after an upgrade? I have several packages from fc11 that are newer than what is on the fc12 (probably because of updates), so several things still show up as fc11. Why isn't the fc12 updated at least to the newest or newer stuff in fc11?

On fc7-10 I was able to get them going after installing gstreamer packages with yum.

For fc11 I have followed half a dozen guides, installed numerous packages, but can't seem to figure out what is missing.

Anyone know what to install for mp3's on fc11 ?

32bit firefox on x86_64 3 years 44 weeks ago

I have been having trouble with firefox3.5 on my x86_64 FC11 install for a month now...firefox freezes my pc. So I used yum to remove firefox. Now I'm wondering if I could just use another rpm for firefox...could I use the 32 bit version safely? I found the rpm and started doing a local install with yum but it wants these dependencies:

Last night I was updating my system and I ran into some dependency errors. It seems like gecko-libs is having problems. here are my yum update results.

Problem with installing KDE 3 years 32 weeks ago

Hi, guys. I'm new to this forum, and I think it's great, keep up the good work. Now with the problem. Couple of days ago I upgraded from F10 to F11. Everything is running smoothly, but today when i tried to install KDE I ran into a problem.

Greetings. I've been trying to upgrade my installation for some time now and just can't quite get it right. I would upgrade from the DVD but the installer hangs when it says "Looking for installation images on CD device /dev/sr0". However, that's not really my question.
