FC11 and resolution for G31/33 chipset

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hello, I know this issue has been touched on several times already, but I can't find a previous post or FAQ that goes all the way to a resolution for this issue... I just upgraded a few weeks ago from FC 9 to FC 11 (went to FC 10 and then 11 immediately after). At that time the video resolution seemed horizontally "stretched", but it was almost unnoticeable so I didn't bother with it. Yesterday I let the system apply all updates and now the highest resolution avail is 1024X768. I can't say for sure that the update did this, but that's the only change that was made to the system that I'm aware of (and it's only used by me!) I was originally running 1680X1050 in FC9 and this is the resolution that I have set up and working with this screen/adapter in XP (this is a dual boot system). From the posts I found here it seems that I should already have the best intel driver installed - I used yum to update it and it said there was nothing to update. The system is running on-board G31/G33 Intel video, a 2.5 GHz dual core Intel CPU, and a DCLCD 20 flat panel LCD. As I mentioned earlier, it is a dual boot with XP. The Linux kernel is I'm not new to Linux but I am fairly inexperienced configuring X11, as I mostly work on servers with no GUI, and my Linux desktop PC (the one we're talking about here) has always just worked in terms of video. Here is xorg.conf, and the output of xrandr -q: [ Code: root@fussbudget X11]# cat xorg.conf # Xorg configuration created by system-config-display Section "ServerLayout"         Identifier    "single head configuration"         Screen      0  "Screen0" 0 0         InputDevice    "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard" EndSection Section "InputDevice" # keyboard added by rhpxl         Identifier  "Keyboard0"         Driver      "kbd"         Option            "XkbModel" "pc105"         Option            "XkbLayout" "us" EndSection Section "Monitor"         Identifier  "Monitor0"         ModelName    "LCD Panel 1680x1050"         HorizSync    31.5 - 65.5         VertRefresh  56.0 - 65.0         Option            "dpms" EndSection Section "Device"         Identifier  "Videocard0"         Driver      "intel" EndSection Section "Screen"         Identifier "Screen0"         Device    "Videocard0"         Monitor    "Monitor0"         DefaultDepth    24         SubSection "Display"                 Viewport  0 0                 Depth    24         EndSubSection EndSection [root@fussbudget X11]# [root@fussbudget X11]# xrandr -q Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1024 x 768, maximum 4096 x 4096 VGA1 connected 1024x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 433mm x 270mm   1024x768      60.0*   800x600        60.3    56.2    640x480        60.0  [root@fussbudget X11]# Here is a link to Xorg.0.log: http://pastebin.com/m68c6958b I'd really appreciate some help with this.
