I am unsure if my ssd is supporting the trim command..I haven't been successful and finding any information about the ssd in this laptop, only thing i know is that it's a sandisk 128gb.Would anyone know if it's safe to add discard to the fstab?

I just installed Arch on my UX31A.  It ended up taking a few more hours than it should have, but it works.To be honest, I didn't even try following the UX31A-specific wiki page; your posts here sent me off on a hunt to boot from a flash drive in UEFI mode, which led me to the method I'll outline here:I downloaded the latest archboot iso from:http://server4.surlyjake.com/archlinux/ …

From your post, the only thing that can be deduced from what you wrote is that you would like to use UEFI, tried, and failed.  So unless you provide more detailed information, I have to say that there really is no hope at this point if you are relying solely on help.Maybe some details like what your tried, what instructions you followed, what efibootmgr tells you, how you have configured thos
