I can't choose ibus input method in f18 TC8. My system use English. when switch input method from NO input to ibus, it give me error: failed to switch
1. The switch of input method is very insensitive. Sometimes I must type or even hit the Ctrl+space several times in order to switch into Chinese input mode. I have never come to this problem in previous versions!
2. Ironically, when the computer enters the screen-saving with the Chinese input and I want to come back, the input of the passwords is still in Chinese input mode!
I am having trouble with my laptop when trying to extend my desktop. For a long time (a couple of months) I could extend it fine. However (either after installing CUDA for coursework, or after an update), it broken. The resolutions are correct for each display, but the second one always gets shifted to the right, and overflows to the other side.
I'm using Lubuntu 14.04 and ibus as the input engine. I've installed the Chinese Pinyin input method. By clicking the keyboard icon at the right bottom corner, I can switch between English and Chinese input methods. But I can't switch them by pressing alt+shift. From ibus's preference dialog, I can see that alt+shift is already set as the combo keys to switch between IMs.
I have just installed Lubuntu 14.04.1 LTS (Trusty Tahr) and I need to input Chinese traditional and simplified characters. I have successfully installed Language Support. But in "Keyboard Input Methods" no Chinese options are there of any kind.
