http://askubuntu.com – I attempted to update my headless server to Precise Pangolin 12.04 restarted the box and get error message "kernel panic not syncing vfs unable to mount root fs on unknown block oo swapper not tainted" I have researched this query and found I need to run a LiveCD disto and mount the drives and then revert to an older kernel, repair the kernel and reboot the box and all should be done. However, my stumbling block is the fact that the two 750gb drives are configured as RAID. I believe this to be Software Raid 1 (mirrored, so the capacity of my server is 750gb). I cannot seem to mount them. I u (HowTos)
