I ran the all-in-one toolkit v2.0 to root my at&t htc one x but my phone is showing not rooted. I followed all the steps and successfully unlocked the bootloader then proceeded to flash the TWRP recovery. When I try to run apps that require root my phone says it's not rooted. I downloaded RootChecker app from the playstore and it says phone is not rooted.
I was looking to Root my new (Referb) phone from PlatinumTel
The phone Samsung Galaxy Prevail that came from PlatinumTel ($54.00) was already Rooted but I had to download the superuser from the Google Play market before I could use the Tools.
I verified the root access then used Rooted tools successfully: Titanium backup, adaway, Link2SD etc.

hello to all!
I am from India.
I'm new to the forum, and I'm hoping to stick around and participate cause I'm really into my Android (JRO03C, v. 4.1.1). Tonight I successfully rooted it, which is awesome, however I'm baffled by one thing.
It was my understanding that when you unlock / root your phone (e.g. through Nexus Root Toolkit), you lose all the data on your phone.

I d/l Android Commander, installed it on my laptop along with the Kyocera Hydro phone drivers. When I open Android Commander I can see every directory and file that ES File Explorer sees on the phones screen including the root and system directories. When I try to drag a sound file that I converted to the ogg format to the phone from my laptop. Android Commander says my phone is not rooted.
