This probably needs to go in a "General" forum, but I don't see one called that.
I was at a bus stop taking my tower to the Freegeek lab. I met a young kid there, who was introduced to computers a few years ago. Because of what psychologists call the Language Acquisition Device, I've come to respect the skills of young kids with a few years of computer familiarity.
Is anyone else having issues with random restarts?
I've been getting random restarts for the past few weeks with no new apps installed. I've noticed that the phone's up time has nothing to do with it as well. They happen every 1-7 days. Another oddity is that the phone goes right to the "X" startup animation with nothing in between.
Hi,
I wanted to update an I9003 from Android 2.2 to 2.3.4 JPKP5 (with latona.pit, I used this combination twice with two other phones), I used odin 1.85 for this purpose.
Connected the phone to the PC, it failed to install one of the drivers, but, it appeared in odin...
I tried that, and since it's just a wrapper, it has the same issues as /etc/init.d/<service> whatever. It's the restart command that is causing the issue. The restart command acts like a reboot, and if your interface isn't set to "auto" on reboot, it fails. Such is progress. And what is "The Debian Way"? I'm into whatever works...

Hey guys im new to this site so im not too familiar with this but i am hoping you guys can help me.
I have my Galaxy Note i717 that i recently bought off of someone. Everything was working great until it started restarting. It will just restart on its own. And i realized now that its a pattern. It will restart after the 3rd time i lock the phone. After that it restarts.

After upgrading from F15 to F16 with what I thought was a single, minor issue, I am slowly running into more issues, and more severe.
All of these issues seem to be the "default" after a reboot, and are all services that do not start:
- MySQL server service does not start at bootup.
Hi everyone, as in subject my Asus K40IN with Ubuntu 9.10 has an issue in restarting system. The restart process is stop when "Restarting system" appear on the screen. This issue also happened when I used Ubuntu 9.04.
