F17 / USB broadband modem works, but does not come up in boot

view story

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I've installed 64-bit F17 on a desktop, and everything works just fine, including a Nokia CS-17 USB broadband modem. The problem is that the modem does not get initialized at boot. If I disconnect and reconnect it once the system is up, it gets initialized and I can used NetworkManager to connect, which works without problems. The configuration of the device and NetworkManager have not been changed at all after installation, except for the point-and-click set-up of the internet connection. I'm at a loss at how to trigger the initialization of the modem automatically during boot or login, with (HowTos)
