Hi can anybody help with my Video problem, I have activated dual screen monitors using the Nvidia driver GUI as Sax2 would not correctly configure it. Now at every boot I get the message "undefined video mode 31a, press [enter] for a list of video modes or [space] to continue. After pressing space the system boots to my liking, how can I get rid of the message at every boot up?
I tried to start my nvidia driver using nvidia-xconfig and now my screen resolution is stuck to 640x480. That is the only option displayed in System Settings -> Display. My default resolution was 1366x768.
I recently installed Fedora 14 KDE and NVIDIA proprietary driver for GeForce FX 5200. I'm able to change the resolution to 1920x1080 (Acer H213H 21.5" lcd monitor), but when I restart the box, I lose these settings and I have to fiddle with NVIDIA and KDE monitor settings until I get the settings back.
Hello,
I am using a Sony VPCZ11X9E with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M and an Intel Graphics card.
My laptop used to have almost no BIOS options that made Fedora's job difficult and I had to use acpi_call.
Now that I flashed a new BIOS I am able to choose which card I want to use before the OS boots. Then the OS will "see" only the card I want and nothing else.
And so it happened.
Hi,
I've been trying to get my graphic card working under ubuntu and opensuse but to no avail.
First, i tried through additional drivers, but after installation it keeps saying "this driver is activated but not currently in use". That is 3D-accelerated proprietary graphics driver for NVIDIA cards.
I have a new monitor (to me) and I am trying to increase the screen resolution. I have tried everything I have found in the forum with no luck. The system is F17, kernel 3.5.2-3.fc17 x86_64, with Kmod Nvidia to match, and KDE 4.8 or whatever installs with F17. The maximum resolution the system will allow me is 1024x768 and I am trying to get to 1920x1080.
Hi
I have this runners when I watch fullscreen videos, independent of what player I use.
I have the Kmod 190.42 installed on my Fedora 12 x86_64 I have a Nvidia Quardo FX570M video card
I have over 10 sec lag when clicking on menu icon, config icons etc.
I have two 8800GT with a SLI bridge.
X will hang after a while. But I can still ssh in remotely.
Odd things has showed up, like 0 CPU load but all three load averages showed 1.00. All four cores were at 0.00. - Disappeared after reboot.
alsactl init
Found hardware: "HDA-Intel" "Realtek ALC892" "HDA:10ec0892,10438436,00100302" "0x1043" "0x8436"
It is using the HDA-Intel instead of the HDA Nvidia.
When I f6 to select sound card and choose HDA Nvidia it has the S/PDIF set to 00, and it doesnt save the change.
Sorry, im noob. Just switching off of Windows :(
