im unable to record sound using this app. the check box is checked for the sound, it just doesnt record sound. idk what to do.
i have ubuntu 12.04 64bit.
plus nvidia drivers dont work what so ever. so im just using the default ubuntu drivers.

I have already used recordmydesktop, xvidcap and kazam. My sound working fine with other audio or videos.
xvidcap doesn't record sound at all. I have tried many ways. If I try as: 'padsp xvidcap', it also gives error, like: /dev/dsp cannot found or missing. I have changed it to /dev/snd.

I've been trying to record a film, where the video is my desktop, and the audio is from my Webcam, but I can't seem to feed the right arguments to RecordMydesktop to get the audio working.
The correct audio device (as discovered by VLC) is hw:1,0, but the flag --device=hw:1,0 doesn't seem to add audio...
When I record videos with GTK-RecordMyDesktop The video comes out fine, but the recorded audio is garbled and glitchy. Can anyone help me?!

Ive been playing around with the 'recordmydesktop' prog (gk & cl). strangely the graphic ui wont let me have access to the "advanced" buttons even if I open it with "~$ sudo gtk-recordmydesktop". I have my capture R & L being recordedbut it also records my comp's machine noises.
I love this video recording software. It's the best I've seen for Ubuntu. I seem to be confused though, I record videos perfectly, with great sound playback, and excellent video quality. The only thing I don't like is that when I view the video, not only on my computer and on YouTube, the video and sound aren't synced. As in like the video part goes faster than the sound does.
I'm running FC11, attempting to record from vinyl.
At first I heard no sound so I installed gst-mixer and unmuted "aux" and now I can hear the record playing thru the speakers attached to the sound card.
When I attempt to record the sound using audacity I get silence.
