F17 3.6.X kernels cause lockup

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I have some code that reads many large images from disk (100+ GB worth). Recently, my code started freezing up my entire system, causing me to reboot. I have stripped the code down so that it simply writes 1000 blocks of memory to disk and then reads them all back in. Each block is 128 MB. I do this in an OpenMP parallel for loop with OMP_NUM_THREADS=32. I have found that the problem started occurring when kernel 3.6 was release. That is, the code runs fine on 3.5.x kernels, but on 3.6.X kernels up to 3.6.7, the code locks up my system when it tries to read the images back from d (HowTos)
